Ethio-South Korea business forum takes place in Addis

(EBC; November 28, 2017) - As part of the visit by South Korean Business delegation to Ethiopia, Ethio-South Korea Business Forum, aimed at further enhancing the historic bilateral ties between the two countries, took place in Addis Ababa on Monday.

During the event, State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Aklilu Hailemichael, noted in his remarks that his government was vigorously working on light manufacturing industry giving particular emphasis on textile, garment, agro-processing and other sectors.

Dr. Aklilu noted the visit by the South Korean Business delegation would further bolster not only the business ties of the two countries but also people to people relationship.

Dr. Aklilu called on South Korean investors to make use of Ethiopia's outstanding investment policy, trainable work-force, stable economy, and relatively cheaper cost of electricity and other attractive investment schemes of the country.

Kim Sing Jin, the Chairperson of Bussan based company called INNOVATION-BUSINESS (INNOBIZ) on his part commended the readiness the two countries have shown to boost their business ties to a high gear.

Aimed at scaling up the two counties' business ties, Ethiopia's Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations and Innovative-Business (INNOBIZ) have inked an MoU.
