ODP says would work to create an "Ethiopia where all citizens shall have equal opportunities”
(EBC; March 26, 2019) - The Oromo Democratic Party (ODP) would work to create an "Ethiopia where all citizens shall have equal opportunities," says party’s chairman, Dr. Abiy Ahmed.
Dr. Abiy was speaking at an event held today at the Prime Minister’s to mark the 29th founding anniversary of the then Oromo People’s Democratic Organization (OPDO), now ODP.
Dr. Abiy on the occasion called on all Ethiopians to come out of egocentricity and hold tight altruism.
Present at the event, Demeke Mekonnen, chairman of Amhara Democratic Party (ADP), for his part remarked “change will always be challenged”.
He stressed the need for joining forces to overcome any challenges and address unresolved issues.
