President calls upon the public to work hand in hand to accomplish changes in the country
(EBC; October 08, 2018) - A Joint session of House of People's Representatives and House of Federations held today at the hall of national parliament in the capital Addis Ababa.
President Dr. Mulatu Teshome has opened the joint session by outlining government plans in the current Ethiopian fiscal year.
The president in his opening speech underlined that efforts will be made to find funds for development activities.
He also said government strives to make Ethiopia a middle-income country by 2025, and efforts will be made to enhance regional integration as well as with global trade partners.
“Ethiopia will do its share to increase bilateral and multilateral ties with Horn of Africa nations and play its role in IGAD,” he added.
The president has expressed the readiness of the government to make reforms in different sectors.
Dr. Mulatu said government continues its efforts to open political landscape for all parties to conduct peaceful struggle.
The president urged the public to cooperate to wards achieving all ongoing reforms in the country.
