Ethiopia marked Sunday 83rd Patriots’ Day, a victory day which marks the end of the Italian occupation on May 5th, 1941.
Laying wreaths at Arat Killo monument, President Sahle-Work Zewde urged Ethiopians to sustain the nation and its sovereignty to which the ancient patriots preserved through gallantry and sacrifice.
The victory day is a national holiday in Ethiopia, observed annually on May 5th.
