The Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation (EBC) is poised to play a pivotal role in showcasing the Central Ethiopia Regional State’s unique assets and development strides to a global audience, according to Governor Endashaw Tasew (PhD). Governor Endashaw made the announcement Tuesday, highlighting the region's belief in EBC's ability to strengthen unity and cohesion through compelling storytelling. The region anticipates that EBC's expanded media reach will greatly assist in spreading positive news of their development initiatives.
The announcement was made during discussions regarding the operationalisation of Hosanna Studio, a new content source for EBC located within the Central Ethiopia Regional State.
During the occasion, EBC's Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Getnet Tadesse, affirmed his commitment to expediting the studio's launch.
He emphasised that despite the region's recent establishment, its developmental endeavours are already making a significant impact, creating ample opportunity for compelling narratives.
“We will work diligently to ensure that Hosanna Studio, EBC’s additional content source, starts operating in a short time,” CEO Getnet stated.
He further highlighted that EBC is actively expanding its regional presence by establishing studios and equipping them with state-of-the-art technology.
These developments signify EBC's dedication to amplifying its reach and delivering timely, accurate information to audiences across Ethiopia and beyond.
Furthering the matter, Governor Endashaw underscored the importance of EBC in fostering national unity.
