Work Underway to Prepare Students for Exams since November, Says Ministry of Education

Special attention is being given to preparing students for success and achieving sustainable results, starting from the lower grades, stated Dr. Yohannes Wagso, Executive for Education Programs and Quality Improvement at the Ministry of Education.

As the time approaches for students to see the fruits of their year-long efforts, the "Addis Ken" news program today invited experts to discuss the ongoing efforts by schools to empower students and how students themselves are preparing.

Dr. Yohannes Wagso reiterated that efforts have been actively underway since November of the current academic year to prepare students for their exams and ensure their success.

He emphasized that empowering teachers and ensuring they possess adequate skills is a fundamental part of preparing students for their academic journey.

Beyond providing students with technology-supported supplementary education, Dr. Yohannes highlighted ongoing initiatives to equip students with technological literacy and to ensure that technology significantly contributes to the teaching-learning process.

Another guest on "Addis Ken," Assistant Professor Solomon Belay, stressed the critical importance of adopting a unique and effective study method for improving academic results.

Assistant Professor Solomon Belay also advised that teachers should actively demonstrate various study methods to students. He underscored the need for learning to transcend mere auditory engagement, advocating for teaching approaches that incorporate visual and tactile experiences for a more comprehensive understanding.
