The World Trade Organization (WTO) has begun its 13th Ministerial Conference Monday in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Ministers from across the world are attending the biennial conference chaired by UAE's Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi
They are reviewing the functioning of the multilateral trading system, and they are expected to take action on the future work of the WTO.
The conference will end on 29th of February.
The Ministerial Conference is the topmost decision-making body of the WTO. It usually meets every two years. It brings together all members of the WTO, all of which are countries or customs unions.
The Ministerial Conference can take decisions on all matters under any of the multilateral trade agreements, according to WTO.
