Ethiopian Maritime Transport and Logistics announced a robust performance for the first half of the fiscal year, marking significant achievements in both profitability and revenue targets.
The company reported a pre-tax profit of 3.26 billion Birr, exceeding its projected income by an impressive 6.23 billion Birr. This remarkable success was mirrored in its revenue generation, with the company reaching a total of 23.46 billion Birr, surpassing its initial target of 17.23 billion Birr.
In terms of operational prowess, Ethiopian Maritime Transport and Logistics facilitated the transportation of 1.89 million tons of goods, utilizing both company-owned and leased vessels. This feat was achieved against a capacity to handle 2.21 million tons, highlighting the company's efficiency and capability.
Moreover, the management of container flow was equally impressive, with 197,699 units handled, showcasing a capacity for 204,358 containers.
