Ethiopia Partakes in World Economic Forum Special Meeting

Ethiopia is taking part in the World Economic Forum special meeting to collaborate and find sustainable solutions to shared global challenges.

A delegation led by Minister of Finance, Ahmed Shide is participating in the World Economic Forum’s special meeting on a global collaboration, growth and energy for development in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The Special Meeting convenes global leaders from 92 countries on 28-29 April, in order to support global dialogue and detect sustainable solutions to shared challenges.

Finance Minister Ahmed Shide, who participated in the panel discussion titled ‘Rising powers for a multipolar world’, pointed out Ethiopia’s efforts in contributing to a joint regional and international cooperation.

Ethiopia has been the founder and primary member of most international institutions, he added.

It is crucial to strengthen and expand international collaborations to deal with and eliminate global barriers, as per the minister.

Alongside the World Economic Forum meeting being held in Riyadh, Minister Ahmed engaged in an important discussion with senior officials of the Ministry of Finance of Saudi Arabia and the leaders of the Saudi Development Bank to discuss the support of the country's development cooperation with the institutions.
