The 15th annual East African Communication Association conference is currently underway in Addis Ababa, held at the Adwa Victory Memorial.

The three-day event, organized by Addis Ababa University in collaboration with various partners, is being held under the theme, "Media and Communication for African Integration."

Distinguished attendees at the conference include Dr. Legesse Tulu, Ethiopia’s Minister of Communication Services; Dr. Samson Mekonnen, Director General of the Ethiopian Media Authority; Dr. Samuel Kifle, President of Addis Ababa University; and Professor Margaret Juko, President of the East African Communication Association.

The conference has brought together scholars from higher education institutions, journalists, researchers, and other stakeholders from across the member countries to discuss the role of media in fostering African unity, FBC reported.
