Ethiopia marks "Progress Day" today, Pagume 03, 2017 E.C., with renewed focus on accelerated development.
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD), speaking from his office in Addis Ababa, addressed the nation, emphasizing the need for unconventional approaches to achieve rapid progress.
"Our legacy is heavy; our path is long; our people have vast aspirations," Prime Minister Abiy declared.

“It is to leapfrog from yesterday to tomorrow,” he said.
He also called upon all Ethiopians to embrace innovation and efficiency to realize the nation's ambitious vision for the future.
