Exhibition Celebrates Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam's 14-Year Journey

An exhibition chronicling the 14-year journey of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) has opened at the Adwa Victory Memorial in Addis Ababa. The event, held under the theme "Ethiopia Can," showcases a collection of photos and paintings that document the dam's construction from start to finish.

Organized by the Addis Ababa City Administration, the exhibition was launched to mark the near-completion of the GERD and is now open to the public.

The opening ceremony drew a number of high-profile government officials. Among those in attendance Attending the event were several high-profile officials, including Jantirar Abay, Deputy Mayor of the Addis Ababa City Administration, Moges Balcha, Head of the Addis Ababa Prosperity Party Branch Office, and Aregawi Berhe, Chief Executive of the GERD Public Coordination Office.

The exhibition is intended to celebrate the dam as a symbol of national resilience and engineering achievement.
