Ethiopians across the country are holding massive public rallies to celebrate the inauguration of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD), a project hailed as a symbol of national unity and a historic victory for the nation.

In Bahir Dar, a large crowd of residents gathered under the banner, "United, We Achieved It,"to express their joy and support for the dam's completion. This public celebration is one of several similar demonstrations taking place in various cities throughout the Amhara region today.

Meanwhile, in Kombolcha, residents also held a rally to mark the historic milestone. Participants in the Kombolcha rally were seen carrying banners and chanting slogans that reflected this spirit of shared achievement.

The completion and inauguration of the GERD, a project spanning generations, is being celebrated as a moment of great pride and a new chapter in Ethiopia's development.
