United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has extended his congratulations to Ethiopia on the successful completion and inauguration of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD).

In addition to the dam's completion, the Secretary-General praised the country's achievements in hosting the Climate Summit and other significant projects.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, President Taye Atske Selassie held extensive discussions with Guterres on a range of regional and other issues.
