Ethiopia's Ambassador to Somalia, Suleiman Dedefo, officially presented his credentials to Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud today, signalling a renewed commitment to bolstering relations between the two Horn of Africa nations.
The event, held in Mogadishu, represents a critical step towards deeper cooperation on security, economic development, and regional stability.
President Mohamud expressed deep gratitude to Ethiopia for its unwavering support in Somalia's ongoing peace-building efforts.
He emphasised the need for joint commissions to be established, highlighting their crucial role in identifying mutual interests and prioritising shared goals for the future.
"Ethiopia's support has been invaluable, and through collaborative initiatives, we can further strengthen our bond and address the challenges we face together,” President Mohamud stated.
Ambassador Suleiman echoed this sentiment, reaffirming Ethiopia's commitment to expanding diplomatic and economic ties with Somalia.
