The e-passport earned the award due to its robust security features, advanced technological integration, and its ability to securely store comprehensive user identification data.

The prestigious Red Dot Brands and Communication, a renowned authority in design and innovation awards, selected the Ethiopian e-passport for this honor, according to FBC.

Officials from the Immigration and Citizenship Service also informed Fana Digital that the passport's inclusion of Ethiopia's unique historical, cultural, and natural landmarks further contributed to its international recognition.
