The British content creator, also known as “News Daddy" on TikTok, keeps over 19 million people hooked on TikTok with his quick, sharp, and easy-to-digest updates on global news. Well, he’s currently in Ethiopia, and he is busy showing his massive global audience that there is so much more to the country than the old stereotypes we see on the news!
He’s been having a whirlwind of a time in Addis Ababa, and he's not done yet. Yesterday, he made a stop at the iconic Adwa Victory Memorial in Piassa. He was genuinely struck by Ethiopia’s incredible history, especially the fact that it’s the only African nation that never fell to colonial rule. He was treated to a super warm welcome, complete with a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony and some cool commemorative gifts.

But it’s not just about the history books for Dylan; he’s been checking out the city’s massive glow-up, including those sleek new corridor developments and the riverside projects. He even planted a tree as part of the city’s greening initiative and sharing the moment with his followers.

He also stopped by the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute. And he was blown away. "I’m honestly amazed by this tech-driven space—it’s beautiful," he said. "Africa has changed, and this place is the perfect example of showing that new face to the rest of the world."
For Dylan, this whole trip is about flipping the script on how the world views Africa. And he’s just getting started! He’s already got his sights set on heading out of the capital soon, with plans to explore the historic streets of Harar and the stunning landscapes of the Afar region.
