World Bank Managing Director for Operations Anna Bjerde has congratulated the Ethiopian government on its strong reform performance and positive economic outlook, reaffirming the Bank's continued commitment to supporting the advancement of Ethiopia’s reform agenda and long-term development goals.

The commendation followed a meeting today in Addis Ababa with Ethiopia's Minister of Finance, Ahmed Shide.

During their discussion, Minister Ahmed briefed the Managing Director on Ethiopia’s sustained reform momentum and the government's current areas of focus. He also provided updates on the strategic priorities for the upcoming Country Partnership Framework.
