Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed expressed his deep sorrow on the passing of Artist Debebe Eshetu, a prominent figure who left an indelible mark on the history of modern Ethiopian art.

In a statement, the Prime Minister acknowledged Debebe Eshetu as one of the pioneers who laid the foundation for the growth of modern Ethiopian theater and film. He also highlighted the artist's significant contribution to Ethiopia’s journey of change through his steadfast commitment and artistic talent.
