Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has announced that eight years of consistent action have driven the Green Legacy Initiative to grow stronger through public commitment and the shared belief that Ethiopians can nurture a greener, more sustainable future together.

Highlighting that today marks the annual nationwide one-day planting effort, the Prime Minister noted it is a moment when citizens from all walks of life come together to create a lasting legacy for future generations.

Reporting alongside First Lady Zinash Tayachew and the COP32 National Steering Committee, the Prime Minister shared that they have planted their contribution and added their mark to the collective journey. The leader called on all Ethiopians across the country to continue their efforts throughout the day as the nation works together to achieve its ambitious target of planting 800 million seedlings.
