International economists from American higher education institutions have stated that Ethiopia's diversified economic development is producing impressive results that are significantly accelerating the country's growth. According to American Professor Edward Miguel and Cameroonian Economics Professor Linus Nyiwul, Ethiopia has recorded remarkable growth and transformation across various sectors in recent years.

Professor Edward Miguel, a professor of economics at the University of California, Berkeley, noted that upon returning to Ethiopia after nine years, he found the changes in Addis Ababa to be highly impressive. He explained that the city’s striking urban expansion and developmental shifts have so drastically altered the appearance of areas he once knew that he struggled to even recognize them. He emphasized that the Ethiopian government's special focus on urban infrastructure is bringing about fundamental change by driving economic growth forward.

Furthermore, Professor Miguel pointed out that the achievements registered in urban development, economic reform, and climate resilience are remarkable successes demonstrating Ethiopia's strong commitment to progress. He highlighted that the policy reform measures taken across diverse economic sectors are yielding positive outcomes. Regarding climate change, he commended the country's efforts to enhance its resilience through the introduction of new social programs and financial systems. He elaborated that at a time when Africa is increasingly vulnerable to droughts and floods, the government’s dedication and ongoing efforts in this area are absolutely critical.

On his part, Cameroonian Professor Linus Nyiwul, an economics scholar at Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania, echoed these sentiments, stating that Ethiopia is registering remarkable growth in various economic sectors. He noted that the impressive development programs implemented to withstand climate change impacts go beyond just accelerating national growth—they actively build the foundation for a robust green economy. He added that the strides Ethiopia is making in building a climate-resilient green economy serve as a vital benchmark and shareable experience that can benefit other African nations. In conclusion, the economists stressed that the Ethiopian government should continue to strengthen its continental leadership role by further enhancing its effectiveness in climate change mitigation and resilience, reported ENA.
