Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) is providing new insight into the journey of his governing philosophy, "Medemer" (Synergy). In a discussion today about his new book, "The Medemer State," he explained how the concept evolved from a personal idea into a formal government stance.
The Prime Minister pointed out that the principles of Medemer (Synergy) can be applied at many levels—by individuals, families, and groups. He personally practiced the philosophy in his own life and successfully used it in the institutions where he worked.
He noted that the idea's growth into a government policy was a gradual process. It took significant time to expand beyond his personal beliefs and professional life, eventually becoming an official government position.
Before the book was published, the philosophy of Medemer (Synergy) was extensively developed through numerous trainings, discussions, and research. This collaborative effort helped transform the idea from a concept held by a few into a shared vision that many people now accept and believe in.
The book itself looks back at stories that helped shape his own dreams while also looking forward, analyzing the global future and Ethiopia's role in it.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the book's importance comes from its foundation in tangible results and practical experience, not just theory. He described Medemer (Synergy) as a philosophy that matured through hard work. He also highlighted that "The Medemer State" (Synergy) is a rare, clear blueprint for governance, possibly the first of its kind in Ethiopian or African history.
He expressed his belief that this document will serve as a historical guide, leaving a lasting legacy for the public and future generations.
