Ethiopia is ready to spearhead new industrial, mineral, and renewable energy partnerships across the BRICS bloc, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) announced at the 18th BRICS Summit in India.

Speaking under the summit's theme of "Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation, and Sustainability," PM Abiy emphasized that combining the group’s vast capital, technology, and markets must yield economic value directly where natural resources are located.

Addressing broader regional priorities, the Prime Minister urged leaders to harness artificial intelligence to serve the African continent's specific needs, establish predictable debt resolution frameworks, and link climate action directly to economic transformation.

PM Abiy concluded with a call for unified action, expressing confidence that member states can turn collective cooperation into shared value, systemic resilience, and long-term sustainable growth.
