A high-level Ethiopian delegation led by President Taye Atske Selassie has arrived in New York for the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The delegation includes Fitsum Assefa, Minister of Planning and Development; Getachew Reda, Minister Adviser for East African Affairs; and representatives from various national institutions. Participating under the theme “Restoring Trust, Managing Transformation: A United Nations That Delivers for All,” the team has officially begun its summit engagements.

Throughout the high-level week, Ethiopia will actively shape discussions focused on safeguarding its national interests and advancing key African priorities. Alongside the primary assembly sessions, the delegation is scheduled to hold targeted bilateral and multilateral talks on the sidelines of the gathering.
