Regional leaders have extended warm congratulations to Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali following his re-election to a second term as head of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, reaffirming strong diplomatic ties and regional partnership.

On behalf of the government and people of Tanzania, President Samia Suluhu Hassan conveyed her heartfelt congratulations to PM Abiy, noting that his renewed mandate reflects the confidence placed in his leadership and vision for Ethiopia’s progress. Highlighting the deep fraternal relationship between the two countries, President Samia emphasized Tanzania’s commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation for the mutual benefit of their peoples, their nations, and the African continent.

Joining in the commendation, President Ismail Omar Guelleh of Djibouti also congratulated Prime Minister Abiy on his re-election, praising Ethiopia’s economic rise. President Guelleh reaffirmed Djibouti’s dedication to strengthening the bond of friendship and solidarity between the two sister nations as they continue their partnership moving forward.
