Aug 25, 2025

Ethiopia has signed an agreement with the Czech Republic to build the country's first children's museum in Addis Ababa.

Tourism Minister Selamawit Kassa signed the deal in Prague with officials from the Czech National Museum and the Czech Development Agency. The Czech government will provide financial assistance for the project, which will see a permanent children's museum built inside Friendship Park No. 2.

Minister Selamawit explained that the museum is designed to help children learn about Ethiopia's history and culture in an engaging way. It will also serve as a space to foster creativity, education, and knowledge. She thanked the Czech government for their financial and technical support.

Ultimately, the project aims to help young Ethiopians grow up with an appreciation for their country's rich tourism and heritage, encouraging them to play a role in its future development.
