The Tananash II boat was met with a jubilant welcome today as it arrived at its final destination in the city of Bahir Dar.

After a remarkable journey, the 38-meter vessel was transported over land through various parts of the country from Djibouti's Doraleh Port. Its arrival marks a new addition to the city's aquatic resources.

The boat, which has the capacity to carry up to 188 people at a time, is expected to support tourism and transportation in the region.
