India and several African countries have agreed to advance joint projects across digital technologies, artificial intelligence, healthcare, trade, transport, and climate resilience following the "Partners for Progress: Africa and India in the Emerging Global Order" international conference in Addis Ababa. Gathering politicians, diplomats, business leaders, and experts, the forum focused on aligning strategy to elevate the influence of Global South nations within major international platforms like BRICS, the G20, and the African Union.

A central theme of the discussions was the strategic alignment between India's Vision 2047 initiative and the African Union's Agenda 2063. Highlighted by Anil Kumar Rai, India's Ambassador to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to the African Union, these long-term frameworks serve as complementary roadmaps designed to boost living standards and cultivate innovative, sustainable development.
