Mayor Adanech Abiebie today announced the completion of a significant number of development projects across the city, all aimed at directly benefiting its residents. The Mayor officially inaugurated several of these projects in various sub-cities.
Mayor Adanech highlighted that nearly 16,000 diverse projects were constructed in 2017 E.C. (Ethiopian Calendar), emphasizing their direct positive impact on the city's inhabitants. She urged residents to take responsibility for properly managing and maintaining these new facilities.
Among the key projects inaugurated today are 122 sports facilities designed to boost youth participation and 1,155 children's playgrounds, underscoring a strong focus on early childhood development. These sports and play areas alone represent an investment exceeding 5 billion Birr.
The Mayor stressed that the city administration is prioritizing investments in the "next generation" and views these projects as tangible evidence of that commitment. She reiterated the administration's unwavering dedication to ensuring resident well-being across various sectors.
