Ethiopia and the United Kingdom (UK) came to terms to cement their longstanding bilateral and economic cooperation.
The economic cooperation to be enhanced is said to focus Ethiopia’s on economic reform, basic services and productive safety net.
The agreement came after Ethiopian State Minister of Finance, Semereta Sewasew, discussed with a delegation led by UK - Foreign, Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO) Director for Africa, Simon Mustard.
The two sides have also discussed issues of mutual interest including bilateral, regional, and international agendas, according to the Ministry of Finance.
The ministry said the ion also focused on assistance, humanitarian space and basic service delivery in Ethiopia, it was learned.
Mustard said FCDO has significantly raised the volume of assistance and expressed its keenness to collaborate with the Ethiopian government to ensure efficient and smooth delivery of assistance for beneficiaries.
