Ethiopian Council of Ministers Launches 100-Day Macroeconomic Review with Visit to Koysha Dam

The Ethiopian Council of Ministers kicked off its evaluation of the government's macroeconomic performance for the first 100 days of the Ethiopian calendar year 2018 with a site inspection of the Koysha Hydroelectric Power Project.

The review highlighted "remarkable progress" at the dam. Officials noted that since the last assessment, the project has reached a height of 128 meters and that 70% of the civil works are now complete.

The visit was positioned as a reaffirmation of the government’s unwavering focus on achieving national energy security.
