Eyob Tekalign (PhD), Governor of the National Bank of Ethiopia, met with Khaled Mohamed Balama, Governor of the Central Bank of the UAE and the UAE Governor, with the IMF on the sidelines of the 2026 Annual Meetings of the IMF and World Bank Group in Bangkok. The meeting explored opportunities to strengthen financial and banking cooperation and facilitate the exchange of expertise.
The meeting builds on the existing partnership between both sides, further strengthening bilateral ties between the UAE and Ethiopia.
