Military attachés from various countries visited the Bishoftu Air Force Base, where they received a comprehensive briefing and explanation from the Ethiopian National Defense Force (ENDF) regarding the current situation in the country.

Following the briefing, the attachés noted that unverified and misleading information had been circulating on social media and various media outlets concerning the current security situation in Ethiopia. However, they stated that the official and direct briefing provided by the ENDF, by inviting the international diplomatic and military attache community, helped bridge information gaps and provided accurate, up-to-date insights.

The military attachés of the United Kingdom, Australia, Bangladesh, Kenya, Gabon, South Sudan, and Tanzania affirmed that Ethiopia, in fulfilling its duties as a nation, holds the legal and natural right to safeguard its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the security of its citizens.

The military attachés of Bangladesh and Tanzania stated that the Ethiopian Defense Force is operating in strict adherence to international laws of war and human rights. They commended the force for prioritizing the protection of innocent civilian lives and focusing exclusively on legitimate military targets.

Meanwhile, representatives from Kenya and South Sudan emphasized that Ethiopia’s peace and stability are directly vital to the peace of neighboring countries and the entire Horn of Africa.

Expressing their confidence that the peace and security operations initiated by the National Defense Force will bring about sustainable stability in a short period of time, they called upon the international community to stand in solidarity with Ethiopia's peace efforts.

Finally, the leaders and members of the Military Attachés Association expressed their gratitude to the ENDF's Directorate of International Relations and Military Cooperation for organizing this clear and timely briefing.
