PM Abiy, World Leaders Plant Trees for Sustainable Food Systems

In a significant opening to the Second United Nations Food Systems Summit, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, along with other Heads of State and Government, participated in a symbolic tree-planting initiative today. This act, part of Ethiopia's Green Legacy campaign, underscored the crucial connection between environmental care and resilient food systems.

Prime Minister Abiy highlighted that the tree planting "underscores the vital role of reforestation and environmental stewardship in building resilient and sustainable food systems." The ceremony took place as the summit, co-hosted by Ethiopia and Italy, officially began in Addis Ababa.
