Speaker of the House of Peoples' Representatives, Tagesse Chafo, stated that the new ETV Parliament Channel, which EBC inaugurated and launched today, will play a vital role in building a multi-national Ethiopia.
He emphasized that the media plays an essential role in enabling members of the House to be the voice of the people they represent, and for the public to freely convey their thoughts and comments on various issues. The new ETV Parliament Channel will have a significant contribution in achieving this.
Another benefit of launching this channel, according to the Speaker, is that it will showcase Ethiopia's character by allowing representatives from various parts of the country to promote the culture and tradition of their respective regions, thereby strengthening multinationalism.
Speaker Tagesse further noted that the channel is expected to undertake extensive work in collaborating on our common and unifying narratives. He concluded by saying, "This is something we will work on together."
