The Chief Commander of the Ethiopian Air Force, Lieutenant General Yilma Merdasa, stated that the Air Force is executing its missions effectively.

Lt. Gen. Yilma Merdasa further remarked that the military is successfully ensuring that the national development works being undertaken in the country proceed without any security challenges. He added that the army is capably fulfilling its mandate by strengthening its human resource capacity and equipping itself with modern technology.

Lt. Gen. Yilma Merdasa also disclosed that Ethiopia is currently working with the ambition of building a leading Air Force in Africa.

The remarks came during a graduation ceremony held for new recruits who completed basic military professional training at the Ethiopian Air Force Academy.

A total of 230 recruits who underwent basic military professional training graduated today.

In addition, a ceremony for the commissioning of officers and the bestowal of their ranks was also conducted.
