The Ethiopian Council of Ministers has formally established the Ethiopian Nuclear Energy Commission, approving a new regulation during its 49th regular session.
The newly formed Commission is mandated to guide the nation's push to utilize nuclear technology for peaceful purposeswhile ensuring full compliance with international safety and regulatory frameworks.

Following an extensive debate on the draft, the Council of Ministers unanimously voted to enact the regulation. It will become effective immediately upon its publication in the official federal legal bulletin, the Negarit Gazeta.
