The 11th Tana High-Level Forum on Security in Africa is scheduled to be held from October 24 to 26, 2025, spanning three days in both Addis Ababa and Bahir Dar.
The forum will be held under the timely theme "Africa in an Evolving Global Order."
Ambassador Zerihun Abebe, Director General of African Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, confirmed that all necessary preparations have been completed to host the 11th Tana Forum as a high-level event.
The core of the discussions will center on how Africa can "seize opportunities and become profitable in the midst of global changes."
The event is set to feature high-level deliberations, including those involving heads of state, foreign ministers, and special envoys from both African regional and international institutions.
The Tana Forum has been recognized for its crucial role in developing shared agendas among African countries and indicating directions for solutions to security challenges.
Furthermore, Associate Professor Mercy Fekadu, Director of the Institute for Peace and Security Studies at Addis Ababa University, highlighted that the Tana Forum is a generator of valuable ideas that serve as policy inputs for the continent.
