The Director General of the Information Network Security Administration (INSA), Tigist Hamid, disclosed that the agency is actively working to prevent theft and corruption by deploying technologies developed by Ethiopian professionals.
Tigist made the remarks during the 6th National Cyber Security Month, which is currently taking place with various programs in Jimma city under the theme "Cyber Security: The Foundation of Digital Ethiopia."
The international Cyber Security Month is designed to strengthen national interests by enhancing the cybersecurity capacity and awareness of both the broader cyber community and key institutions across the country.
It was further noted that the discussion forum aims to bolster efforts toward realizing the ambitious Digital Ethiopia master plan by building the capacity to mitigate the threat of cyberattacks on institutions, particularly amid the country's rapid journey toward digitalization and the development of smart cities.
