President Taye Astke Selassie took to Twitter today to celebrate a major architectural achievement, sharing before-and-after images of a historic Ethiopian palace.

"Preserving historical and architectural values through renovation and restoration," the President tweeted. He described the structure as "A monumental #Ethiopian palace in exquisite original architecture."

The President credited the project with breathing new life into the historic city. "The renovation has brought #Gonder city back to life. It is glamorous and gorgeous. Before and After-ድሮና ዘንድሮ ! Thank you!" he added, using the Amharic phrase for "then and now."

The palace restoration highlights an ongoing national effort to preserve Ethiopia's rich heritage and architectural legacy, particularly in Gondar, known for its iconic castles.
