Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed has announced that a number of completed dams, ranging from small to large, are scheduled for inauguration in the coming months.

The Prime Minister stated that the imperative for "creation and acceleration" is now clearly visible in Ethiopia, a process that has already resulted in the completion and commissioning of numerous projects.

He stressed the growing consensus that transforming Ethiopia is impossible without a focus on innovation and speed, noting that this spirit is now driving national efforts.

"Looking only at dams, we have already inaugurated the Renaissance Dam, Welmel Dam, in the Somali region," the Prime Minister said, confirming that other completed dams are now awaiting their official commissioning.

Prime Minister Abiy attributed the current momentum to this culture of "creation and acceleration," pointing out that similar efficient work practices are becoming common nationwide.

He further highlighted the emerging tradition of collaboration between the government and the community, which has facilitated the completion of many projects, including school expansion programs.
