The Federal Housing Corporation (FHC) has extended its social responsibility efforts by donating educational materials valued at over 1 million Birr to students in need across the Amhara Regional State.
The substantial donation is set to benefit more than 800 students who have faced various hardships.
Reshad Kemal, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Federal Housing Corporation, officially handed over the materials to representatives and officials of the Education Department in the North Shewa Zone of the Amhara Region.
During the handover ceremony, the CEO emphasized the FHC’s commitment to fulfilling its social responsibility by responding to both natural and man-made challenges in different parts of the country.
He underscored the importance of supporting students, whom he referred to as the "replacement generation," who are currently facing difficulties in the Amhara Region. Reshad assured that this support is just the beginning and will be strengthened in the future.
Mekdes Bizuneh, Head of the Debre Berhan Education Department in the Amhara Region, expressed gratitude for the corporation’s timely donation.
She also took the opportunity to call upon other public and private institutions to contribute the necessary assistance to schools and students across the region.
