Ethiopia and the Russian Federation are actively pursuing closer financial and economic ties following a high-level meeting between senior officials.

The Ethiopian delegation was led by Dr. Eyob Tekalign, Governor of the National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE), and Ahmed Shide, Minister of Finance. They held discussions with a Russian delegation led by Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.

The core focus of the meeting was to strengthen bilateral economic and financial cooperation and identify new, potential areas for collaboration between the two nations.
