Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed on Sunday expressed his profound sadness following the death of the veteran historian, Professor Lapiso G. Delebo.

In a public statement, the prime minister announced that the professor passed away after a period of receiving medical care.

PM Abiy offered his deep condolences to the bereaved family and friends last night, stating, “I heard with great sadness that the veteran historian, Professor Lapiso G. Delebo, passed away today after a period of medical care. I wish for his soul to be placed in the Garden of Heaven and for comfort to be given to his family and friends.”
