Ethiopia has successfully secured the endorsement to host the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change Conference of Parties (COP32) in 2027.
The news was confirmed by Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Uganda to the United Nations, Adonia Ayebare (PhD) who tweeted congratulations to Ethiopia.
Uganda, currently holding the Chair of the Subsidiary Body on Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTSA), stated it "strongly supported Ethiopia's candidature," paving the way for the nation to host the crucial "African COP."
