Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed today lauded the residents of Kemise and Wollo area, stating that they already embody "genuine love" and live it through action.
During a visit to Kemise, the Premier emphasized that this spirit ensures hatred will never win and asserted that with peace and heartfelt closeness, everything will happen in its time."
In a speech delivered during a visit to Kemise, the Prime Minister stated, "We do not need to teach the people of Kemise and Wollo what genuine love is, because they already know it and live that love in practice."
The Premier emphasized the powerful nature of their local bonds, stressing that a community possessing "genuine love like that of Wollo" guarantees that hatred and malice will never succeed.
Dr. Abiy further highlighted the expansive nature of the community's compassion, noting that the love of the Wollo people is so great that it "overflows not only for Wollo but for the whole of Ethiopia."
He acknowledged that genuine peace "springs from a true heart," a quality he attributed directly to the residents of Kemise and Wollo, adding that the Wollo people have a love that extends beyond themselves to benefit others.
The Prime Minister specifically recognized the people of Kemise for their defining characteristics: "heroism, love, and a strong work ethic." He mentioned he had heard of their sterling reputation since his childhood.
Expressing his personal gratification, Dr. Abiy said, "After many years of longing, I am incredibly happy to meet such a beloved people in person; I thank God."
The Prime Minister also thanked the President of the Amhara Regional State, Arega Kebede, for enabling him to meet this people who are the manifestation of love.
