The Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute (EAII) has successfully saved the country several million dollars through its effective work, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (Ph.D.) announced.

Prime Minister Abiy underscored the national importance of the sector, stating that Artificial Intelligence is a key focus area for Ethiopia. The EAII, he noted, is currently undertaking significant and successful projects across various sectors.

The Institute's work has primarily centered on:

Agriculture: Implementing projects to boost production and productivity.

Service Sector: Identifying and working to resolve issues that are major sources of public complaints regarding service delivery.

Mesob One-Stop Center: A Showcase of Local Expertise

The Prime Minister highlighted the Mesob One-Stop Service Center as a prime example of the EAII's success. This system allows over a hundred service providers to offer their services under one unified hub.

Significantly, he stressed that the entire system was developed by local Ethiopian experts and is a key output of the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute.

Concluding his remarks, Prime Minister Abiy stated that the AII’s central mission is to make AI technology accessible to all citizens. Furthermore, the Institute has successfully developed sophisticated data management systems to build a massive and modern national database.
