Ethiopia's EBC Forges Tech Alliance With China's State Media Powerhouse

The Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation (EBC) hosted a high-level meeting with a delegation from Chinese state-run media, focusing on collaborative advancements in satellite and broadcast technology. The discussions, held this week, signal a significant step towards bolstering EBC's technological infrastructure.

The Chinese delegation, comprising five prominent executives from various media entities including experts in broadcast technology and engineering, expressed strong interest in partnering with EBC. Their visit included comprehensive discussions on potential areas of cooperation and partnership. Key leaders of the delegation focused on sharing advancements in the field.

EBC Deputy CEO and Head of Media Technology, Belete Esubalew, provided a detailed overview of EBC's current operations, technical specifications, and future strategic plans. The briefing served as a foundational element for the ensuing talks, providing context for potential collaborations.
