Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed officially welcomed Lawrence Wong, Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore, today, marking a significant strengthening of bilateral relations between the two nations.
Following high-level discussions, the two leaders oversaw the signing of two critical agreements: a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Skills Development and an MOU on Carbon Credits Collaboration.
Highlighting the importance of the visit, Prime Minister Abiy stated:
"Our meeting marks an important milestone in the relationship between our two countries as we continue to deepen cooperation in areas critical to our shared future."
The Prime Minister noted that the newly signed MOUs "reflect our joint commitment to building resilient, future-ready workforces and advancing sustainable, low-carbon growth."
PM Abiy affirmed his commitment to strengthening the friendship and collaboration, stating that he looks forward to leveraging the combined strengths of both nations.
