The Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation (EBC) has been recognised for its significant role in promoting entrepreneurship across the country, receiving an award at the closing ceremony of the 2025 International Entrepreneurship Week.

The public broadcaster was honoured for its contribution to Ethiopian enterprise through the ongoing "Negadras Commercial Bank of Ethiopia Entrepreneurship Competition."

The award was presented by Minister of Labour and Skills, Muferihat Kamil.

EBC was cited for its continuous work in encouraging, supporting, and qualifying local innovators and business creators through its platform.

The Corporation is widely known for hosting the Negadras competition, which serves as a crucial initiative to help individuals with new business concepts and creative innovations enter the market. Crucially, the competition also provides support to innovators who face financial challenges, helping bridge the gap between idea and execution.
